Odunola Ojewunmi is on a mission: to raise as much awareness about organ donation as possible in the time that she has. The 21 year old suffered from serious health issues of her own, ending up with a heart and kidney transplant before she turned 12. Since then the University of Maryland graduate has been spreading awareness about organ donation, saying "If someone did not say yes, I wouldn't be here". Hence she founded the Sacred Hearts Children's Transplant Organization to bring attention to the importance of organ donations.

What gets my attention with Odunola's story is the fact that she also is a staunch supporter of mentoring programs and is the founder of ProjectASCEND, a public service and mentoring program for girls, an area of work that I passionately believe in and support.
