UK departmental store, Selfridges is set to launch what it refers to as the world's first drive-thru service at a departmental store, a move which is set to change the face of West-End shopping, beginning in January 2014. Picture this: you order THAT Louis Vutton bag you have been eyeing for a couple of weeks now and all you have to do is pick it up by a window without even stepping out of the car?? I know we are used to picking up burgers in drive-thrus at MacDonald's and Burger King but handbags, shoes and designer gear through a drive-thru window? That surely gets me! I can't wait to see who else will follow suit..John Lewis, Debenhams, House of Fraser...maybe?
