Congratulations Kate and William!
The royal family are rejoicing as the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton gave birth 4.24pm to a healthy baby boy. Mum and baby are said to be doing well. The little prince weighed in at 8lbs 6oz and was born at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington. William was present at the birth and will be spending the night with his wife and new son, not out 'celebrating' with his boys.
The Prince of Wales released his official statement and expressed his joy at the news:
"Both my wife and I are overjoyed at the arrival of my first grandchild. It is an incredibly special moment for William and Catherine and we are so thrilled for them on the birth of their baby boy. Grandparenthood is a unique moment in anyone's life, as countless kind people have told me in recent months, so I am enormously proud and happy to be a grandfather for the first time and we are eagerly looking forward to seeing the baby in the near future."
I guess now that the British media know the sex, speculation will be all about the name of the little one...until that is announced that is. Arthur seems the favorite..what would your guess be?
