Motivational Mondays:YOU TOO CAN WIN! NIGERIA WINS GOLD AT ACN 2013

Yipppeeee!! My beautiful country is the champion of African football! How sweet does that sound?!

I am soo proud of these boys, they have totally done us proud! It's been 19 years since we won gold in football and it feels good to be back. After years of repeated failures and gambles, we are on top again and its totally amazing!

Maybe you share a similar history to that of Nigeria, you have labored and toiled for years without recording any success. You have invested your time, energy and resources on countless ventures that have yielded little or no positive results. Now you are at the end of your tether, you feel giving up is the only option as you are at a seeming crossroads.

Hold on!

You too can win!

Races are hardest at the final few laps, just ask Usain Bolt. But victory is for those who hang in there and do not let go of the dream! You can still win, if you do not give up.

Go into this new week with that playing in your head..I can still win, if I do not give up! It might take longer than you envisaged but it will be perfect timing. The journey might be harder than you thought but I promise you, you will see why at the end.

Just hold on. The world will rejoice with you soon.

Motivational Mondays: Do it afraid.

 All hail Queen Bey!

By now, everyone and their mama has seen Beyonce's sensational half-time performance at the Super Bowl on Sunday. If you haven't, you seriously need to relocate back to mother earth and check it out. If you have, then you must have thought the same thing I did; that girl is an amazing performer and a superlative entertainer! She is beautiful, smart and extremely hard-working (as can be obviously seen in her performances; she stops short of perfection), but I have to give it to her on another level; King Bey knows how to keep making her money and stay relevant. Yeah, I know we have all seen it before, the lights, those moves, the performance etc but how easy is it really to keep recycling and keep getting even better results? I mean, all the time? Plus the girl ssssaaaang 'Halo' after ALL that dancing, give her a break!

Motivational Mondays: President Obama officially sworn in for 2nd Term

Barack & Michelle Obama at the swearing in ceremony 20:01:2013
 Congratulations, Obama!

Ok I am a little late with this one, but better be late than never, right? Forgive me, I am only just getting used to this blogging thing.....

Yesterday, Barack Obama was officially sworn in as President of the United States of America for the second time joining the likes of Thomas Jefferson, Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton who all served two terms at the White House.

I am motivated to do better, to strive and work harder, to love deeper and to believe I can and I will do whatever I set my heart out to do. For Barack Obama has proved once again: Impossible is Nothing, we can and we shall and indeed we have overcome.

I dont need to go into full details as to Obama's fight/struggle, I believe we all know this. However, I challenge you to be motivated to do that one thing you have been putting off for a while, or that thing you are actually scared of embarking on because you fear you might fail. The dream of a black man serving in the White House was once frowned at, unheard of even but today, because of Obama, it can be your son or my son's dream.

We need to learn to do better, especially as Nigerians. There is nothing, and I mean nothing that is impossible for you or myself to achieve. Through sheer determination, hard work and most of all the ability to sacrifice; time, leisure and our convenience for a purpose that can and will live long after we are gone, we can be who we set out to be, even better.

Please join me in wishing Obama a wonderful, success-filled second term, which indirectly means I get to see more of Mrs O's brilliant, fabulous style!

Check her out below in Thom Browne on Inauguration Day. Don't you just love her new look bangs?

Barack Obama and Martin Luther King Jnr's (he would have been 84 on Jan 15) dreams, pursuits and achievements are part of what motivates me.
 The Truth

What's yours?

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that" - Martin Luther King Jnr

Love & Light,
