Have You Had Breakfast? Skipping It Could Increase Your Risk Of A Heart Attack.

Love your heart. Have a hearty breakfast. Photo Credit: Diabetesmine.com

That's according to a recent study and you know me, if I don't believe it, it won't be here. A recent research on men aged between 45-82 who regularly skipped breakfast demonstrated a 27% higher risk of developing coronary heart disease or having a heart attack compared to others who had breakfast regularly. This is because people who tend to skip breakfast are more prone to eating more food for the rest of the day and eat more calorific meals, sometimes even till lte in the night to compensate for not eating early or enough. The research, published in the journal, Circulation on July 22, was an observational one and evaluated 27,000 men on their eating habits in 1992. 13% of these men said they regularly skipped breakfast, and over the next 10 years 1,527 of these men suffered a fatal or near fatal heart attack. You can read more on the study here.

I hope you have had breakfast and if you haven't, go and do so now!
