Talia Joy Costellano, the 13 year old girl who charmed us all with her astounding make-up tutorials on YouTube and her bravery and strength despite a harrowing 6 year battle with cancer, has died.
The teen's family took to her Facebook page to announce her passing
#prayfortalia It is with a heavy heart that we share with all of you that Talia has earned her wings at 11:22am. Please lift her beautiful soul, her beautiful light to heaven and please send your love and prayers to her family during this most difficult time. God speed little one, may you be free from pain and suffering, may your soul feel the light and love that you brought to so many of us on this Earth during the short time you were her with us. We will miss you more than you will ever know baby girl.
Doctor's had told the charming 13 year old last summer that she had between 4 months to 1 year to live and had spent almost six months in hospital before her death on July 16. Her YouTube channel, aptly named Make-up Is My Wig had well over 850,000 subscribers and well over 240 videos in a little over 2 years, with over 45 million hits to prove her life and story served as an inspiration to so many. She appeared on the Ellen Degeneres Show in September and was awarded an honorary Cover Girl.
Ellen herself took to her Twitter page to mourn the teen's passing saying
This year I met a very special girl and today we lost her. Sending my heart to Talia's family. I'm so sad.Her YouTube page shows the teenager's last words to her fans
