MEET BRITAIN'S BRAINIEST FAMILY: CHRIS AND ANN IMAFIDON'S TWINS START HIGH SCHOOL AGED 9

Britain's brainiest family is black AND are of Nigerian heritage.

The Imafidons moved to the UK over 30 years ago and went on to have 5 children who are all overachievers.

Their oldest is Anne-Marie who is now 22 but at 13 won a British Government Scholarship to take undergraduate courses at the John Hopkins University in Baltimore. Christiana, 19 is the youngest student ever to study at undergraduate level in any British University at age 11. Samantha, now 14 passed two rigorous high school–level mathematics and statistics exams at the age of 6 and even mentored twins Paula and Peter to sit their own maths secondary school test at 6 which they also passed.

Paula and Peter have since gone on to break a record by starting high school at 9. Paula wants to be a maths teacher someday and Peter has dreams of being a prime minister. Their father thinks they as parents have only provided the right atmosphere for their children's talents to grow and says it has everything to do with identifying each of their gifts early and nurturing them.
"Every child is a genius," he said. "Once you identify the talent of a child and put them in the environment that will nurture that talent, then the sky is the limit. Look at Tiger Woods or the Williams sisters -- they were nurtured. You can never rule anything out with them. The competition between the two of them makes them excel in anything they do."
